On the day that they arrived home (June 12), their son, Kyle, called them while they were waiting in Scotland for a connecting flight, to let them know that his wife, Jenny, was about to give birth. Little Anthea Joy was born later that evening. Paul and Marina thank the Lord for a safe delivery. They have just had a wonderful few days with them in Shetland.
Paul and Marina are so thankful that they can be back in Northern Ireland at this time. Marina’s mum is recuperating in hospital after breaking her hip just before they got back from West Africa. Also, Paul’s dad is still recovering from a bad fall he had over a month ago. They would appreciate your prayers for them. Paul and Marina are glad that they are able to be close by to help a little.
They are planning to return to West Africa at the end of July. Marina has been helping to arrange a couple of literacy seminars and a workshop in Senegal and Burkina Faso for August and September. Paul and Marina are hoping to develop a brand new literacy course for the Loron people during their time in Senegal. A couple of Loron men will be travelling from Ivory Coast to Senegal to help them work on the new materials.
