Paul and Marina say, “It is really good to be back home for a while to see family and friends.” They have been invited to speak at a couple of missionary conferences in the USA and Canada in September and also plan to visit some friends and churches while they are there. Paul and Marina would appreciate your prayers as they prepare for the trip and as they travel.
Please continue to pray for the Loron believers as they move forward with translating the book of Matthew into their own language. Paul worked with them through some difficult passages of Matthew’s Gospel during the time they spent in the village from March to May, and it was so encouraging that they were able to make some important improvements to the draft. There are still more checks to be made before a final check, hopefully at the end of the year.
Marina is encouraged with the slow but steady progress in the various literacy classes in different Loron villages and churches. She was also heartened with the advances made in the preparations for literacy campaigns by three missionary teams in Mozambique. New computer software developed by NTM’s tech department proved to be a huge help in producing high quality reading and teaching materials for the three teams.
Also pray for Loron church leaders as they take the Gospel to new areas and as they lead and feed the believers.
