Opening doors

After a busy few months of travel and ministry in Chiang Mai Norman and Bobby Murphy enjoyed a quieter few days over Christmas. Of course they miss their family even more at this time of the year but were able to have contact with them through skype and texting.
Next Norman will go with two other men to visit one of the tribal teams about ten hours away. This team has come to the end of formal language and culture study so they’ll be discussing plans for the future of the work in that tribe. He will be away for several days so please pray for Bobby in Chiang Mai, for safety as they travel and for wisdom as they develop a strategy for the team to move into Bible translation, literacy, developing Bible lessons, etc.
Later in the month Norman and Bobby plan to travel to Bangkok for a meeting to glean further information about the needs of various tribal groups in a different area. This trip may not be able to go ahead because of political unrest. Pray for wisdom about that meeting but more importantly for the country of Thailand. Pray the country will not fall into serious civil conflict.
