Tagbanwas baptized

Jaimie Pollock, daughter of missionaries Ray and Chris Pollock, joined 35 Tagbanwa believers in demonstrating their faith in Jesus Christ by being baptized last Sunday.

“It was one of the most moving and emotional experiences we have had,” wrote Ray, “as we witnessed our brothers and sisters in Christ testifying of their changed lives and praising God with tears of joy. Many were broken and sobbing as they thanked God from the bottom of their hearts for dying in their place and freeing them from lives of fear and bondage and bringing them into a relationship with Himself.”

One elderly woman splashed around in the ocean after being baptized, shouting, "I'm happy, I'm different, because of what Jesus has done for me.”

Several men and potential church leaders baptized their wives as well as some of the others. There was great joy among the believers as God drew them together through this event.

Pray for Ray and Chris, Danny and Philippa Brooks and Paul and Cathy Wright as they shepherd the believers.

Pray also that those potential leaders who took part in baptizing believers will continue to grow and take responsibility for the church. Pray for Ray and Chris, Danny and Philippa Brooks and Paul and Cathy Wright as they shepherd the believers.
