Christmas in the Bush

Two days of travel over rough roads brought Pete and Charity Rogers and their family to a bush area in Mozambique for a Christmas visit.  Their teammates, Anthony and Jennie, are living there ministering to the Yao people group.  The Rogers family reports that the shift from noisy city to quiet country was welcome.  So were the cooler temperatures.

It was a special joy for Pete and Charity to see this work in person for the first time.  They write that the Yao people belong to a religious group that is hostile to Christianity.  Learning their language and culture are essential preparation for the time when the Gospel will be shared with them.  This process will require tremendous wisdom.  Please pray for God’s grace to prepare the hearts of the Yao people to hear the joyful truth of a Savior.
