The new medication that Becky recently started taking has had no visible side effects so far, so that is a huge answer to prayer. Lord willing it will continue that way! The doctors are very careful to make sure that the medication is doing what it should!
Becky is continuing to work on the rough draft of Mengen New Testament. The Lord is certainly answering prayer. By the grace of God, she was able to accomplish quite a bit during a marathon session of translation whilst staying with a friend for two weeks. Not only did she finish the rough draft of 1 Peter, but she also managed to finish 2 Peter as well. With things rolling along so smoothly, Becky took the plunge and jumped into the book of Hebrews. This is the final book of the Mengen New Testament that needs to be drafted, so she is pleased about that. So far, it is going very well. To God be the glory!
While she is home, she has been able to keep up with her teammates. Pray for her co-workers, the Laureti family as they have had a recent bereavement.
Also, pray for Flanagan family after their being away for five years, in the decisions they have to make as they leave their ministry in England and say goodbye to family and friends. Their desire is to continue with the Mengen work, and perhaps reach out to another Mengen dialect. It is exciting to see how the Lord is going to use the Flanagan family.
