How are NTM missionaries supported?
New Tribes Mission is a faith mission. By this we mean that all members of New Tribes Mission are expected to look to the Lord alone for the supply of their individual needs.
Do personnel serving at home receive a salary?
New Tribes Mission does not pay a salary to any missionary whether at home or abroad.
How can I support a missionary?
It is possible to support missionaries either on a regular or occasional basis. Cheques should be made payable to New Tribes Mission with a note enclosed indicating to which missionary or project the funds are to be sent. It is also possible to have your bank set up a Standing Order to send support on a regular basis (please contact us for details). Finally, you can also use your Credit or Debit Card to make a donation online. Please click on Donate Online in the menu on the left.
Please note that online donations are also possible by using the CAF CharityCard system. If you have a CAF CharityCard and would like to make a donation then please click here.
If you do not have a CAF CharityCard, but would like to apply for one then please click here.
Is a deduction made for administration?
The finance office at North Cotes handles all funds received for NTM missionaries and forwards 100% of gifts received to the individuals for whom they are designated. Undesignated gifts may be used to help meet the operating expenses of the headquarters and/or for current projects.
How will my funds reach the missionary?
The safest way for support to reach missionaries is by sending it to our headquarters in North Cotes. Designated funds are forwarded to our missionaries at the end of each month. Apart from being the safest, this is also the most economic way of transferring funds to other countries.
How can I increase my giving?
If you are a UK taxpayer you qualify for tax to be reclaimed on your giving. A Gift Aid declaration*, signed by you, allows us to claim tax back on any gift of any amount, regular or occasional. New Tribes Mission does NOT deduct a percentage for this service.
